Joe Hofer - Artistic Director

My dance style is on-beat, intense and humorous, to dance with me is to be passionate, spirited and be proud of what you are doing. Originally a musician, I gravitated towards square and round dancing in the late 1980's, eventually becoming an apprentice caller. In 1990 I was asked to feature a square dance exhibition with Gonzaga University's "Hyper-Formance Jazz Dance Club" in thier production called "Tour De Danse". The next year I studied Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Ballet, Partnering, and Tap with instructor Cynthia Hamilton and landed a lead roll with HYPER-Formance, as "The Lion" in their production of "The Wiz". Later in 1993 I expanded my formal training in Jazz, Modern, and Ballet, with instructor, Isabelle Cook and under her gracious wing she supplied me with private lessons with Ballet Master and Artist in Residence Emeritous, Leonard Fowler, who became a great mentor. In 2000 I finally got to formalize my training in Tap with 30 year veteran teacher Gail Bongiovanni and she still lets me live my Gene Kelly dream every week!! I danced in many productions around the Spokane community and abroad, some of which include: 1991- Tour De Danse1992- Operation Dessert Dance1993- The Wiz1994- Curtain Call1994- While You Were Out1995- Quantum Leap1995- Hug A Tree1996- VVRROOM!!1996- Stolen Mask Of Palenque1997- Believe Us Or Not, Headline News1997- The Nutcracker1997- End Of The Trail1998- A Step In Time1998- The Toy Shelf1998- Alexandra1999- Wud up Wit Fat Tuesday?1999- Wise Guys2000- Correspondents2001- Gold Rush2002- Schliemann of Troy2003- The Hope Diamond2004- 1906 San Francisco2005- Where in the World is Carmen2006- Don't Touch That Remote2007- Time Passages2008- Return of the Mask of Palenque My commitment to dance has taken me throughout the Spokane area where I taught dance at community centers around Spokane, the C.V. Dance Team, and the "Creative Arts in The Summer Time Program". My professional dancer background consists of working for "Take Notice Arts and Entertainment Company" doing industrial, modeling, and dinner theatre productions working with important and famous people such as Duane Hagadone & Teri Hatcher.I am an active member of the Inland Northwest Dance Association and I work as a Special Education Assistant with the C.V. School District. Outside the community my work has lead me to teach master classes, choreograph, and dance in the community, Canada, and outer lying areas. My commitment to education and self improvement has lead me to study abroad with world class teachers such as Billy Siegenfeld, Jeanie Hill, Rosemary Boross, Bob Boross, Bill Evans, Darryl Thomas, Katherine Kramer, Lynn Simonson, Brenda Bufalino, Diane Walker, and many more!!I continue my work in Spokane with Isabelle's Dance Time and the "Dance Time Theatre Company" as Instructor and Co-Artistic Director, and stay very active producing my art in Canada and where ever life (Dance) will take me, it is my PASSION, my SPIRIT, and my PRIDE.

Erica Hendon - Dancer

Erica started her journey in dance at the age of 3 years old learning tap and jazz dance. As the years went on she kept up with tap and jazz at Sherry’s Studio where she learned discipline and showmanship through the avenue of competition. Age 10 was a devastating year for Erica as Sherry closed her studio. This did not stop her she searched for a new studio finding Tessa Williams for ballet training but, the ballet would not inspire her at this time. So, she was again on the search for the right studio and training for her. At last, at the age of 15 she found her new dance home at Isabelle’s Dance Time under the instruction of Isabelle Cook and Joe Hofer. She studied jazz, and then added modern, ballet, and partnering to her regimen of classes. Her journey lead her to expand studies with people like Billy Siegenfeld, Jeannie Hill, Gail Benedict, Frank Chaves, and Katherine Kramer just to name a few. She dabbled in just about every kind of dance imaginable.

After graduating high school Erica went on to teach at Sandra Olgard’s Dance Studio for two years, teaching tap and jazz to and all ballet studio.

Erica took a ten year hiatus to go on to college, start her hair stylist business and eventually got married and became a mother of two children who now dance at Isabelle’s Dance Time. She is now back in the studio that held her passion for so long and is loving every day she can dance to her heart’s joy.

She currently is Isabelle’s Dance Time’s Production Assistant, Substitute Instructor, and Student Dancer and has been a member of the Phase Collaborative Dance Project since 2013.

Stacie Wren - Dancer

Sierra Vandenberg - Dancer

I have danced at Isabelle’s Dance Time since the studio started in 1993. I was raised in dance since my mother, Isabelle Cook, is a dance teacher and studio owner. I took a couple of years off to go to college and earn my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Apparel Design from Washington State University. I love dance and have always had a passion for choreographing. Most of my growing up years were spent doing dance related things including workshops, master classes, shows and dancing in the Dance Time Theater Company performing group. I have been trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop and Partnering. Contemporary is my favorite form of dance. It infuses all of the different types of dance together in a unique way. I am thrilled I get the chance to dance with Phase Collaborative! I want to thank my supportive husband, family and friends for always encouraging me in my dance endeavors!
